Before and after pictures of same field







The first picture was taken April 1, 2007. The second was taken on the 14th. This was the second snow in two weeks.

It is growing new tillers and the damage does not show up as much, but the tillers are so far behind the surviving stalks that if they do ever shoot a head, they will be three weeks or more behind in maturity. Chances of them making much grain are slim. Instead of a 60 bushel/acre yield that I was anticipating before the freeze, we may be lucky to reach less than half that.
